A long, long time ago, I actually embarked on the road of writing novels in this way.
Let’s review these three years!
Let’s start with the unsatisfactory parts.
For me, my biggest regret may be the feelings of the protagonist.
Unlike the popular couples in the book, as a qualified “behind-the-scenes mastermind”, it is difficult for him to meet his other half who will naturally meet at a certain stage of his life like other characters.
This is also the biggest trouble I encounter in writing.
In my own experience of feelings, unequal relationships will almost certainly be unbalanced in the end, no matter which party in the relationship is true.
Therefore, if you want to add a CP to a certain character, rather than a licking dog, it is better to let them take risks together, face problems together and solve problems.
For example, the most typical Ye Shi and Xiao Jiang, both of whom have gained obvious growth after the Orion incident.
But the protagonist… This kind of role positioning is difficult for you to find a logical scene for him to take risks.
If compared to chess, his position is obviously in the “handsome” position.
How many people are there beside him, and what plot can be triggered, can actually be counted on one’s fingers.
If there is no common experience, then no matter how you write it, it will seem abrupt.
Either the other party has a plot against him, and the interests of political groups are mixed in love, such as the most typical Avni (although I didn’t write it with a CP in mind).
Or it is easy to become a one-way arrow like Boss Xia, Shuangxue, etc., because they were saved by the beam of light shining into the darkness and fell in love with the shining person, but the other party’s favorability may not reach the level of “love”.
From the perspective of creative logic alone, it is much more difficult to find a CP for Chu Guang than for Lu Zhou.
The latter still belongs to the category of human beings most of the time, and faces the most human troubles, such as the question of “which one to choose”.
The former is set to be a god created by mortals – that is, the “perfect life form” hinted at from the beginning of the novel, a cyber god created by technology (biology and sociology, etc.).
Many times, I actually wrote in this direction.
Even including adding contrasting characters to highlight his differences from humans and other gods, etc.
In the end, after much thought, only Xiaoqi, who accompanied him through 777 rebirths, is the most suitable.
However, this kind of feeling may be more inclined to companionship, which is somewhat different from the traditional CP.
Is it love?
Maybe.
Different people may have different answers, but in any case, I don’t want to do this part of reading comprehension for readers.
In the next book, I may try to put the protagonist in another perspective and try something I haven’t written before.
Although this may be nonsense, after all, before opening this book, “Chu Guang” is also a character I haven’t written.
Including many characters in this book.
In addition, after talking about the unsatisfactory places, I also praise myself.
I didn’t expect that I could fit so many characters in my not-so-big head, remember what happened to each of them, the bright and dark lines they are experiencing, the stage of life they are in, the growth they have gained in the adventure, and the change of beliefs, etc.
I believe that friends who have written books will understand how difficult it is, haha.
In addition, for my own writing career, the biggest improvement of this book is probably filling the pit.
To be honest, all the holes that were dug since the first chapter of the novel have been filled in, and the main storyline basically ends at the new era.
As for some places that were not described in detail or mentioned briefly, they were basically written as blank spaces for the story from the beginning, or as shadows to set off a happy ending.
After all, there are so many players. To be honest, it is unrealistic to rely on my own strength if I really take into account every perspective.
And all I can do is to select a few relatively relaxed and representative perspectives, and describe several key events with a less heavy brushstroke.
As for the stories that happen outside the perspective, I can only rely on your imagination to complete them.
