Sentinel of American Comics — Chapter 162 Trip to New Mexico

Santa Fe Airport, New Mexico.

It was already late at night when Sean arrived in the Sunshine State, filled with red rock cliffs. After completing Sentinel’s first stage performance, he took a private plane and left New York. The external publicity was a scientific research expedition. Anyway, Umbrella’s various businesses were on track, and there was no need to be personally in charge at all times.

The car that came to greet him honked twice, and Sean got into the car. The beam of the headlights turned around and drove towards the private residence he had reserved.

After about forty minutes, Sean saw an apologetic Harry. The young Osborn smiled ingratiatingly and quickly took the backpack from his friend, like a attentive doorman.

“I wanted to pick you up at the airport, but that Norwegian drunkard who talked nonsense caused a lot of trouble again.”

Sean was quite dumbfounded. He threw his backpack to Harry and teased: “Where is the Miss Daisy that fascinated you?”

Harry scratched his head. He came to New Mexico not just for vacation and relaxation. The 47th state of the United States is rich in minerals and energy. It is also home to large federal government agencies and has numerous private research and development institutions. It is undoubtedly an excellent promotion market for Osborne Industrial’s smart grid projects.

Master Osborne’s business talks went quite smoothly, and he reached a number of cooperations within a few days. However, on the way he met a scientific expedition team that came to observe astronomical phenomena – female astrophysicist Jane Foster. As well as her student Daisy, the latter’s lively and cheerful character deeply attracted Harry, who was in an emotional window.

“Daisy and her teacher lived in a camp near Old Bridge Town. When they were investigating astronomical phenomena, they ran into that crazy Norwegian drunkard. That guy was full of nonsense and had a condescending attitude!”

Perhaps out of some male psychology, Harry didn’t like the Norwegian man who called himself “Thor” at all. “He injured four doctors in the hospital and two security guards who rushed after hearing the news. He was like a barbarian.” Man, if I hadn’t paid enough compensation, that guy would have stayed in the police station for a week!”

After entering the reserved private residence, Sean sat on the sofa and listened to Harry narrate the ins and outs. The prince of Asgard who had angered Odin, the king of gods, and was deprived of his divine power seemed to be having a hard time on earth. How about it? First he was knocked unconscious by a car, and then he was regarded as a drug-addled madman. He didn’t have any cash or identification items on him. If he hadn’t met a kind-hearted female astronomer, he would probably have been sent to the police station. Then he was deported as a stowaway.

“What about the black-clad SHIELD agents?” the young man asked with flashing eyes.

“They said they were investigating a security threat and needed to collect Teacher Daisy’s records and atmospheric observation data. Of course, those bastards left a check, but in Miss Foster’s words, the equipment that was taken away She did most of it herself, and a lot of the information was not backed up…”

“So the indignant Master Osborne injured a black agent in order to show his manliness in front of the lovely Miss Daisy?”

Harry’s rambling voice suddenly stopped, and after a while he continued: “Not only that, I also promised Daisy to help her get back the iPad that was taken away, as well as all of Miss Foster’s data equipment.”

Sean put his hands behind his head and said jokingly: “I guess you must have made a lot of phone calls to some important officials in the Ministry of National Defense, or officials in the local police station and city hall.”

Harry hung his head in frustration. He tried to find all the connections, but found that the black-clothed agents who claimed to be affiliated with SHIELD ignored him at all. If he were not a socialite with considerable status and status, , maybe things will not end so simply.

“Where’s that drunk guy who caused you a lot of trouble?” Sean asked softly.

“I heard that there was a metal hammer falling from the sky in the crater fifty miles west of the town, so the madman rushed there excitedly.” Harry curled his lips.

Sean’s eyes flickered twice, and a smile of unknown meaning appeared at the corner of his mouth, “I’m very curious about that drunkard from Norway.”

…………

On the outskirts of Old Bridge Town, a tall, strong blond man lurked secretly on the low hills. The dark night and the overgrown weeds prevented him from being discovered by the professionally trained agents in black.

The man stared sharply at the strong fortress not far away – it was a small temporary city made of steel and plastic, surrounding the huge meteorite crater in the center. In the center of the crater formed by the powerful impact, there was a silver square, engraved A metal warhammer with complicated patterns lay quietly on the pit.

This metal warhammer with a unique shape is called “Mjolnir”. In Norse mythology, it was cast by dwarves from Asgard’s unique metal Uru. It can carry magic spells and contain huge energy, summoning wind, rain, thunder and Lightning four natural elements.

Of course, this is just a myth and legend that has been exaggerated. In fact, the so-called Thor’s hammer was made by the Nordic god Odin by the dwarves using materials extracted from the core of a star that was about to be annihilated. It was given by the Nordic gods. Fu has indestructible properties and powerful divine power. Once he loses the blessing of this artifact, Thor, known as the God of Thunder, can only exert half of his combat power at most.

Not long ago, this hammer, accompanied by the tragic demotion of the Prince of Asgard, fell to the outskirts of a small town in New Mexico. It was regarded as a foreign object on a meteorite. Many idle passers-by wanted to pick it up, but no one It can be raised by half a cent, and this has gradually become a topic of conversation among the town residents after dinner. Some people even set up tents and grills, treating the crater as a small tourist attraction, providing food and soda to the many curious passers-by who flocked to it.

However, this situation did not last long. A group of men in black who were said to be from the government intervened and said that the foreign objects in the crater carried a large amount of radiation and needed to be isolated and inspected. They set the area as a restricted area and there were countless residents of the town. The few spare time activities were discontinued.

“You stay here and don’t move around. Once I get Mjolnir, I will return what they stole to you.” The blond man promised Jane who sent him over.

“No!” Jane shook her head and refused, pointing to the heavily guarded strong fortress, “Look there, do you think you can walk in with a big head, get my things back, and then come out safe and sound?”

“No, I will fly out.” The blond man ignored Jane’s worries. Once he got the hammer back, he naturally did not need to fear a group of mortals.

Since he was demoted to Midgard (Earth) by his father and lost the divine power and war hammer he had always relied on, Thor, the God of Thunder, has become no different from a mortal, and has even been regarded as a madman by ignorant humans.

If he hadn’t accidentally heard the news about the crater, he would still be dizzy and at a loss in the small town of New Mexico. Without the power to control the wind and rain, fly to the sky and escape from the earth, Thor found himself struggling. He looked at the small temporary fortress. Feeling the familiar energy fluctuations, his heart felt slightly hot. It was a weapon belonging to Thor, symbolizing the supreme glory of Asgard.

Dark clouds piled up in the distant sky. In the thick and deep clouds, lightning flashed and thunder echoed, indicating that a heavy rain was about to come.

“The magnetic field fluctuates violently, sir, the index has exceeded the upper limit.” In the temporarily established monitoring room, the data on various instruments increased. SHIELD experts immediately discovered the anomaly and reported it to the middle-aged man behind him.

Coulson, who was dispatched to New Mexico, looked at the hammer on the video. According to expert investigation and testing, this metal foreign object that fell from the sky along with the meteorite emitted strong magnetic field fluctuations. The specific material was unknown. Various methods were tried, and even Not even a trace can be left on the surface.

“Someone is intruding! Warning, there is illegal intrusion!”

The sharp siren interrupted Coulson’s thoughts. The black-clothed agent issued a warning on the communicator. On the surveillance video, a tall and strong blond man rushed into the restricted area designated by SHIELD. Several people wanted to stop him. The agents were knocked to the ground. Relying on his extraordinary strength and innately trained fighting instincts, these agents were no match for him in a one-on-one situation.

Thor rampaged all the way, breaking through the blockade of the black agents, and finally saw the metal war hammer. Under the night, the complex patterns shone with cold light, and obscure and invisible energy fluctuations were transmitted. He happily held his beloved weapon that he had fought with countless times. In the sky where dark clouds gathered, thunder roared, like the roar of the gods.

A heavy rain came suddenly, and big raindrops hit Thor’s face. The joyful smile gradually solidified. Even if he held the warhammer in both hands, this Asgardian artifact that belonged to him and symbolized bravery and glory remained firm. Moving, as heavy as a mountain.

“Father, is this your punishment for me? Or do you think I am not worthy of the power of Thor’s hammer?” The frustrated Thor roared to the sky, half-kneeling in the muddy water.

“The show is over, Barton, you don’t have to take action anymore.”

Coulson, who had been paying close attention to the surveillance video, gave the order. He stood on a high place, his eagle eyes with a bow and arrow hidden in the darkness, watching the agents in black dragging the crazy blond man away.

Deep in the dark sky, a pair of eyes that traveled through space blinked, and on Asgard’s Rainbow Bridge, a faint sigh drifted away in the wind.
