The Wind and the Eagle Wings at Hogwarts — Chapter 114 114. Songs floating in the morning mist

Scott’s humming echoed between the hanging walls.

This humming was by no means beautiful, and the echo from the stone wall made it seem a bit weird.

After humming a song, Scott looked at the stone wall in front of him and fell into silence.

After a while, he turned around and asked others, “Maybe I’m out of tune?”

“I can’t judge!” Roger said unhappily.

Eddie smiled, “Anyway… I don’t think it sounds very good.”

Scott looked at Milton, who was staring at him anxiously, “Milton, what do you think?”

Milton nodded vigorously.

“Ahem.”

Scott coughed twice again.

“I’ll hum it again.”

He turned his head to face the stone wall and hummed the music score on the parchment again.

A few minutes later, Scott turned around and looked at his roommate again.

“It sounds better this time.” Eddie said.

“But there is still no response.” Roger looked at the stone wall behind Scott, “Maybe your idea is wrong.”

The two still held Milton tightly.

Milton struggled a few more times, then lowered his head and didn’t look at Scott.

“But this is the only clue.” Scott frowned and shook the parchment in his hand, “If there is no clue, we can’t guess the correct secret order.”

At this time, Milton struggled again, and kept turning his head to signal them to leave here.

But Scott and the others ignored him.

Roger thought about it again and said, “Maybe it needs to be played with instruments?”

“The key is that no one can play this song perfectly.” Scott said, “Don’t forget, those people in the classical music club gave up like this.”

“Maybe there needs to be lyrics?” Eddie said, “I don’t think the so-called secret order is just humming.”

“Lyrics?”

Scott thought about it and nodded.

“I know, I’ll try.”

“Ah?” Eddie asked in surprise, “Where are the lyrics for this song?”

Scott smiled, “Don’t forget, our school song is not composed, I always think this is strange.”

“School song!” Eddie said excitedly, “Maybe your guess is true!”

“Try it quickly, sing it, Scott!” Roger urged.

“Ahem.”

Scott coughed a few times again to clear his throat, and sang to the music score-

“Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hogwarts, please teach us knowledge…”

Scott only sang a few sentences, and he clearly felt something was different.

This song, which sounded weird and unpleasant to hum, was surprisingly smooth when sung with the lyrics of the school song. He even thought it sounded a bit nice.

To confirm, he looked back at his roommates’ expressions.

Sure enough, the three of them were looking at him in surprise with their eyes wide open.

Scott’s singing did not stop.

“Whether we are bald old men or children with broken knees.

Our minds can accept some interesting things.

Because now our brains are empty, full of air, dead flies and trivialities.”

The melodious singing floated in the white morning mist, and seemed to be transmitted to a far place.

And Scott had clearly sensed the magical fluctuations coming from the stone wall in front of him.

“Teach us some valuable knowledge, and return what we have forgotten.

You just need to do your best, and leave the rest to us.

We will study hard until we turn into dust.”

Scott’s singing stopped, and the echo from the stone wall was still echoing.

He reached out his hand and touched the stone wall in front of him.

A circle of ripples spread on the stone wall, and a door emerged on the concave stone wall.

This is a white stone door with exquisite patterns carved on it, and a brass Hogwarts school emblem is inlaid in the middle.

“Success!”

He turned around and waved his fist at his roommates.

“Great!”

Roger and Eddie also ran over happily, looking around the stone door.

“Fainted!”

A red light came from behind the two and hit Eddie’s back.

Eddie fell down.

Scott waved his wand quickly.

“Armor!”

The transparent magic barrier protected him and Roger, and deflected the second red light.

“Milton!”

Scott looked at Milton who raised his wand at them on the other side.

“You…can’t go in!”

Milton’s face was pale, he gasped for breath, and tears fell from his eyes one by one.

“Rennervate!”

Roger used the resuscitation spell to wake up the unconscious Eddie.

“What’s going on?”

Eddie opened his eyes and climbed up.

Then he found the confrontation between the other three.

“Milton!” He stared at Milton with wide eyes, “You actually attacked me!”

“No…”

Milton shook his head randomly.

“I’m sorry…but you can’t go in!”

He said with a sob.

“Please…”

Eddie was frightened by his appearance, “Forget it, I’m not angry. And don’t worry, there won’t be any danger inside.”

“No…you can’t be sure!”

Milton said loudly.

“And I said I’ve accepted it! It’s the consequence of my own choice, I don’t need you to take risks for me!”

“We are friends!”

Roger said even louder.

“Friends should help each other, you just need to shut up and accept it!”

Scott also said: “You can’t stop us, Milton.”

Milton looked at them pleadingly, “If…if anything happens to you, I will never forgive myself…”

“Okay.” Scott said calmly, “You should know me, Milton, I am a person who is unwilling to take risks.”

Milton heard this and said hesitantly: “But…”

“No buts.”

Scott interrupted him.

“First, I have consulted Ms. Grey, this is just an abandoned music room. Second, Professor Flitwick said that the oath will not harm students.”

After he said this, he raised his voice again, “Tell me, Milton, do you really want to get your musical talent back?”

“I…I…” Milton was about to shake his head.

“You want to!”

Scott interrupted him again.

“We all know you very well, and we all know that you must have regretted it.” He continued, “Although regretting after making a choice… is a bit rogue, but who made you our friend.”

“Yes, Milton.”

Eddie also spoke.

“We know that you are very unwilling, we know what your mother left you, and we also know that you have been working hard alone before.”

Scott added: “I said during the Christmas vacation that if you need help, just ask.”

“You should learn to ask friends for help, it’s not shameful.” Roger followed.

“Thank you…”

Milton couldn’t help crying.

“Thank you…”

Scott removed the magic barrier, Roger walked up to Milton and patted him on the shoulder.

“Okay! There is really no danger.”

Roger pushed Milton to the stone door.

“Get ready, Milton.”

Scott stretched out his hand and pushed the stone door open.

“We are just going to talk to the person hidden behind the oath.”
