The Wind and the Eagle Wings at Hogwarts — Chapter 167 168. The crown tainted by Riddle

“Mother, crown!”

Seeing that Ravenclaw was still talking to Professor Flitwick unhurriedly, Ms. Gray couldn’t help but remind her urgently.

“alright.”

Ravenclaw looked at her helplessly.

“I already know where the crown is.”

“Tell us now,” said Ms. Gray, “and we’ll bring it over.”

At this time, Ravenclaw frowned.

“Crown…” She sounded a little regretful, “That’s a room where things are hidden. You should go and have a look, but be careful.”

Ms. Gray didn’t seem to hear her warning and turned around and flew out of the house.

“Scott! Filius! Hurry!”

She urged outside.

“You guys go too,” Ravenclaw said to Scott and Professor Flitwick, “remember to be careful.”

Scott and Professor Flitwick both nodded, turned and walked out of the room.

“Hurry up!”

Ms. Gray was already standing at the door of the study.

Scott and Professor Flitwick looked at each other, exchanged some messages silently, and then walked over and opened the door.

Dumbledore was standing in the corridor and smiled at them, “Good afternoon, Ms. Grey, Filius, and Scott.”

“Oh, did you get the news so quickly, Albus?” Professor Flitwick walked over and looked up at him.

Scott glanced back and saw that the door to Helena’s study had disappeared.

“Yes, those Ravenclaw students were so excited,” Dumbledore said. “Minerva had a hard time getting everyone to quiet down.”

“Feel sorry.”

Scott said to Dumbledore.

“Professor, we may be too impulsive.”

“No.”

Dumbledore shook his head and smiled kindly.

“You did great, Scott.”

He said sighingly.

“At noon, your Professor Victor excitedly told me that a real arithmetic diviner appeared among his students.”

Professor Victor?

Scott was a little surprised.

I didn’t expect him to be like this again.

Dumbledore said in a gratified tone: “I was still hesitant at first, but this afternoon you did something important to prove yourself.”

He looked at Professor Flitwick again.

“What an outstanding young man, isn’t he? What this young man has achieved so far is enough to amaze me, an old guy!”

“Oh, of course!”

Professor Flitwick said proudly.

“Scott is our best Ravenclaw student.”

Scott felt a little embarrassed.

Fortunately, by this time Ms. Gray couldn’t wait any longer.

She ignored the two old professors and said directly to Scott: “Quick, Scott, the room where the things are hidden!”

Scott nodded, began to say “I want a room to hide things” silently, and then walked back and forth in the corridor.

“This is really a magical place, isn’t it?” He heard Dumbledore say, “I once found a luxurious bathroom here when I was in urgent need of urination, but then I couldn’t find it…”

At this time, a new door appeared in the wall.

“Oh, it appeared!” Dumbledore said in a somewhat surprised tone.

“Quick, open the door!”

Ms. Gray said to Scott.

Scott nodded, stepped forward and opened the door.

Ms. Gray immediately flew in at extremely fast speeds.

“Oh! It’s not easy to find anything here!” Professor Flitwick glanced inside the door.

This huge room was filled with all kinds of old junk.

Old desks, old stools, old textbooks, old toys, all kinds of things are piled up in a mess, and you can even see a giant monster specimen holding up the ceiling.

“It seems that many of our students have discovered this magical place over the years,” Dumbledore said. “They have found the joy of hiding things.”

They all walked into the room, feeling a little confused for a moment.

“Where?”

The disappeared Ms. Gray suddenly emerged through the debris.

She asked Scott eagerly, “Scott, where is the crown?”

Then, she said to Professor Flitwick: “It’s better for you to use the Flying Curse!”

“better not.”

Scott dismissed her suggestion.

“There’s something wrong with the diadem,” he said. “The thing has become evil.”

“What?” Ms. Gray’s eyes widened, “How could that happen?”

Scott said to her patiently: “Remember? Ms. Ravenclaw told us to be careful.”

“Is this so…”

Ms. Gray lowered her head dejectedly.

“It’s better to come with me. Maybe the two professors will be able to figure it out.”

Scott took the lead and walked through the gaps in the debris.

“Let’s see first and then talk.” Dumbledore’s tone was a little complicated, “Maybe…”

Scott led them through the maze of accumulated debris for a long time before stopping in front of a dilapidated cabinet.

“Right there.”

He pointed his wand at the pockmarked bust of the wizard beside the cabinet.

On his head was a dusty old hairband and an old, faded crown-like thing.

“Crown!”

Ms. Gray immediately floated over and looked at the worn-out crown up close.

She seemed to be crying and laughing at the same time, and the expression on her face was complicated and difficult to distinguish for a while.

“Is that Ravenclaw’s diadem?”

Professor Flitwick couldn’t help but take a step forward.

“Wait, Professor.”

Scott reached out to stop him.

“It’s wrong, it’s too wrong.”

He directly said what he sensed with his magic.

“The crown contains two completely different kinds of magic, one is peaceful and the other is extremely evil.”

“It’s true.”

Dumbledore sighed.

“Tom, that guy has defiled this treasure belonging to Ravenclaw.”

“Albus?” Professor Flitwick turned his head and looked at him.

“Horcrux.”

At this time, Ravenclaw’s voice sounded, and her portrait emerged from the blank wall next to the cabinet.

“I didn’t expect someone to make my crown into a Horcrux.”

She looked at the gray crown on the wizard’s statue, her expression inexplicable.

“Is it the Dark Lord you mentioned, the descendant of Medea, who stuffed his broken and ugly soul fragments into my crown.”

“Horcrux!” Professor Flitwick screamed, “Evil, too evil! This is an unforgivable act!”

Dumbledore murmured, “Yes, when I seized the notebook, I knew that Tom made a Horcrux. That’s why he didn’t die completely.”

His face was very solemn.

“I think he may have made far more Horcruxes than the two we found.”

“Dirty liar!”

Ms. Grey suddenly roared angrily.

“Damn Riddle! He tarnished the crown! That shameful bastard! A liar full of lies! A damn thief! An evil bad seed!”

“Okay, Helena.”

The Ravenclaw in the painting stopped her cursing.

“Mother…”

Ms. Grey burst into tears and huddled against the wall.

“Dear Ms. Ravenclaw.”

At this time, Dumbledore asked the Ravenclaw in the painting.

“What should I do with this crown? Do you have any suggestions?”
