The Wind and the Eagle Wings at Hogwarts — Chapter 276 276. Scott's welcoming work

After the dinner, it was time for the regular school song.

Dumbledore used his wand as a baton and passionately directed the students to sing.

“Hogwarts, Hogwarts,

Hogwarts, Hogwarts,

Please teach us knowledge.

No matter we are bald old people,

Or a child who injured his knee after falling…”

Scott listened to the messy tunes around him in pain and opened his mouth symbolically.

“Dumbledore obviously already knows the real tune of the school song, why not let all the students learn it?” Milton frowned and complained.

Scott replied casually, “Maybe it’s because Mr. Principal likes to see students feel more free?”

When the song ended, the students turned around impatiently and began to leave the auditorium.

Scott’s roommates also patted his shoulders and chose to take the first step.

A piece of parchment floated over from the teacher’s desk and stopped in front of Scott.

Scott reached for the parchment and looked at it. On it was written the list of first-year Ravenclaw students.

He turned his head and smiled at Professor Flitwick on the teacher’s bench, then waved to Keira, then stood up and clapped, attracting the freshmen who were still confused.

“Freshmen!” he shouted. “Look here!”

“Freshman!” Kayla walked up to Scott, “Please follow us!”

The two of them walked to the end of the long table, and the first-grade children followed them obediently.

Scott quickly glanced at the number of people and led them out of the auditorium. As he walked, he introduced, “My name is Scott Trollope, and this is Kyra White.”

“We are the prefects of fifth year Ravenclaw,” Keira continued. “According to tradition, it will be the two of us who will lead you back to the common room of Ravenclaw House.”

A few bolder freshmen quickly began to introduce themselves.

But neither Scott nor Kayla listened.

Kayla turned to the new students and smiled, “You don’t have to introduce yourself to us, and we won’t go out of our way to remember your names.”

She paused and said to the astonished freshmen: “There are only two ways to make us remember your names. One is to make mistakes and get us into trouble, and the other is to be so good that we look at you differently.”

Scott also smiled, “These will be reflected in the following days, I hope you will be the latter.”

After saying that, the two fifth-year students continued to stride forward gracefully. The freshmen couldn’t care less about their surprise and hurriedly trotted to keep up.

“This is the most exciting moment I’ve ever had since becoming a prefect.”

Kayla whispered to Scott.

“I have long wanted to try saying these words to freshmen. You know, I was very uneasy by these words when I entered school.”

Scott nodded in agreement.

This is the bad taste passed down from generation to generation by the senior Ravenclaws.

In order to take care of the first graders, they deliberately slowed down their pace.

Scott looked back again, “Smart Ravenclaws should consciously remember this route at this time, so that they won’t be late for class tomorrow morning because they get lost.”

Then he saw with satisfaction that the faces of the freshmen changed, and a few of the little guys who had just started looking around began to memorize the route seriously.

The group walked through the corridor, turned several corners, and finally arrived at the Ravenclaw Tower located on the west side of the castle.

“This is the west tower of the castle, often called Ravenclaw Tower. Since the representative element of Ravenclaw House is wind, our common room and dormitories are at the top of the tower.”

After Keira introduced the tower to the freshmen, she led them into the tower and climbed the spiral staircase.

“Be careful!” she warned worriedly, “last year when school started, a girl fell down the stairs!”

In order to prevent an accident, Scott deliberately stayed at the end of the line.

He waved his wand, “Of course, even if you fall down the stairs, I will catch you.”

But instead of being comforted, the freshmen seemed more nervous.

Fortunately, there were no accidents in this process this year, and they arrived at the door of the common room smoothly.

Scott stood by the door, briefly introduced the eagle-shaped bronze door knocker on the door, and demonstrated and answered the questions on the door knocker.

“Will liars be honest after they die?”

“No, they won’t. They lie still after they die.”

After entering the common room, the two faced the new students again and said a few final words to them.

“Congratulations on becoming a member of Ravenclaw House.”

“I hope that in the coming time, your performance will be recognized by more Ravenclaws.”

“In this academy, only in this way will your names be known to more people.”

“Next we will lead the boys and girls into your dormitories respectively.”

Scott took several boys to the door of their dormitory, then turned and returned to his own dormitory.

“Hey! Scott!” Eddie couldn’t wait to see him and asked, “What did this year’s freshmen look like when they heard you say that?”

Scott shrugged his shoulders, “Fearful, stunned. Just like you before.”

Roger laughed, “It’s probably worse for Eddie. After all, he was assigned to a dormitory with three sophomores.”

As he spoke, he stood in the middle of the dormitory and began to imitate Eddie’s appearance when he first entered the dormitory.

“Hello… hello, I… I am Edika Mitchell, who is enrolling this year. Because… there are not enough dormitories… so… I was assigned here…”

He did a pretty good imitation, but exaggerated Eddie’s tone and demeanor several times.

“Hey!”

Eddie gritted his teeth, yelled, and rushed forward angrily.

Scott walked past the two scuffling men with a basket in hand.

He went to the bathroom to take a shower, and after returning to his dormitory, he lay on the bed and read the new class schedule.

“Tomorrow is Thursday, and Defense Against the Dark Arts class happens to be tomorrow afternoon.” Milton said, “I wonder what Professor Black’s teaching level is like.”

Scott said: “No matter what, it will definitely be better than Professor Quirrell and Professor Lockhart in the previous two years.”

“Unfortunately, we have classes with Hufflepuff.” Eddie suddenly said regretfully, “So we can’t see Professor Black deducting points from Slytherin.”

Scott smiled and said, “Are you sure Black will be like Snape?”

“Of course.” Roger vowed, “He will definitely go toe-to-toe with Snape!”

Scott understood that at least many people in Ravenclaw Academy were waiting to see the excitement between Snape and Black.

Of course, Scott was waiting to see.

Bright’s character is completely different from Lupine in the “original work”. He seems to be very flamboyant and not a patient person.

Scott always felt that he and Snape might actually fight at some point.
