The Wind and the Eagle Wings at Hogwarts — Chapter 338 338. The Last Horcrux

Faced with Harry’s question, Scott shook his head, “I’m just making random guesses.”

After saying that, he turned to look at Dumbledore.

Dumbledore said with a smile: “This is also possible. After all, no one can say that they have completely mastered the magic of magic.”

“Okay.” Harry looked reluctant, “Is there any way to break this connection?”

He looked at Dumbledore with hopeful eyes.

“Sorry.” Dumbledore said with an apologetic expression on his face, “I think this problem may only be solved by completely defeating Voldemort.”

He glanced at Harry’s clenched fist and turned to talk to Scott about the Horcrux, “After receiving the message from Sirius, I went to the Black house and got some from Kreacher. According to the news, I went to the cave in Harry’s dream with Sirius again.”

At this point, his expression became solemn, “Regulus is a hero. He discovered Voldemort’s secret long ago. In order to destroy Voldemort’s Horcrux, he sacrificed his young life.”

For some unknown purpose, he patiently told Scott and Harry the story of Regulus Black in detail.

Regulus Black was a pure-blood and an admirer of Voldemort. He joined the Death Eaters at the age of 16.

Voldemort once asked him for a house elf for experiments, so he recommended Kreacher, the house elf of the Black family.

But he discovered some clues from Kreacher, who was frightened when he returned home, and thus cast doubt on Voldemort.

So he later took Kreacher to the cliff cave where Voldemort kept the Horcruxes, and took the initiative to drink poison in exchange for the Horcruxes-Slytherin’s Locket.

Finally, he gave the locket to Kreacher and ordered it to destroy the Horcrux, but he was dragged into the water by the Inferi and died.

Dumbledore said softly: “When we arrived, the place had suffered serious damage. Fortunately, we found Regulus’s body and buried him.”

“He…I mean, Regulus is really amazing.” Harry said sadly, “Sirius never knew this, and he even said Regulus was a fool.”

“Sirius was obviously very sad. He suffered a great blow. He thought it was all his fault.” Dumbledore’s voice became deeper. “He told me that if he hadn’t escaped from the family, It won’t be his younger brother’s turn to face the terrible Dark Lord.”

“He’s right!”

At this moment, a strange voice came from the side.

The three people who were talking turned to look at the talking portrait on the wall.

It’s a portrait of Phoenix Blake. In the painting, he has his eyes fully opened and his face is gloomy.

“Sirius is right, it was precisely because of his rebellion that Regulus lost his life at a young age!” he said angrily.

Hearing what he said, Harry quit immediately.

“Who are you?” he asked, looking up.

Phoenix Black in the painting looked at Harry condescendingly, with a haughty look on his face, “I am the former headmaster of Hogwarts! I am also the great-great-grandfather of Sirius and Regulus!”

Harry was a little surprised by his identity, but he still stood up to refute his words, “Why do you think it’s Sirius’s fault? It’s obviously Voldemort’s fault! Moreover, if it weren’t for the fact that everyone in the Black family was crazy about Voldemort, Damn it, how could Regulus become a Death Eater?”

“Potter boy! Who do you think you are talking to!” Phoenix Black in the painting was extremely angry. “It’s your father, James Potter, that boy who led Sirius to evil!”

“They became good friends because they got along!” Harry was not to be outdone.

“snort!”

Phoenix Black in the painting snorted and wanted to say something, but a hand stretched out from the painting next to him and covered his mouth.

“Don’t make any noise, Phoenix.”

In the top row of portraits, a witch with long silver curly hair spoke.

Her voice sounded soft and commanding.

“We are just portraits,” she said. “Don’t point fingers at living people.”

Scott glanced up.

The speaker was Delis Derwent, one of the most famous headmasters of Hogwarts, who was also a famous therapist during her lifetime.

Her portrait now hangs in St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Magical Injuries.

After Delis Derwent finished speaking, the wizard below who covered Phoenix Black’s mouth released his hand.

Phoenix Black’s expression was ugly, but he didn’t say anything.

“Thank you, Delis.”

Phoenix Black’s face turned darker as Dumbledore smiled and thanked Dalys Derwent.

“Sit down, Harry.” Dumbledore motioned for Harry to sit down again.

Then he said to Scott; “I want to ask you to do arithmetic again, Scott.”

Scott nodded clearly, “About Horcruxes?”

Dumbledore’s expression turned serious.

“Yes, about Voldemort’s Horcruxes.” He said softly, “Voldemort has a total of 7 Horcruxes. The Horcruxes we know now include Tom’s diary, Ravenclaw’s diadem, and Slytherin’s pendant. Box, Hufflepuff’s golden cup…”

Harry exclaimed, “The diadem is also a Horcrux? And Hufflepuff’s golden cup?”

Dumbledore nodded, “Ravenclaw’s diadem has been purified. As for Hufflepuff’s golden cup, it was stolen from Gringotts at the beginning of the semester.”

Here, he paused, “According to Lestrange, the owner of the underground vault, Voldemort gave the golden cup to them for safekeeping.”

Harry’s eyes widened, “So the golden cup fell into the hands of the Slytherin daughter?”

“Not just the golden cup.” Dumbledore said in a deep voice, “I suspect that Slytherin’s pendant was also taken away by her. Of course, there is one more thing.”

He took a sip of hot tea before continuing, “In order to track down Voldemort’s Horcrux, I once went to the old house of the Gaunt family. Through the traces there, I can be sure that someone had taken something from there before me. During that time, Ms. Slytherin had just left Hogwarts.”

Scott lowered his eyes to look at the steaming teacup in his hand, and said, “If Voldemort really hid one of the Horcruxes in the old house of Gaunt, then Medea has at least three Horcruxes in her hands.”

“In addition to the two that were destroyed and purified in Hogwarts, there are only two Horcruxes whose whereabouts are temporarily unknown.” Dumbledore said.

Scott nodded and reached out to take out his wand.

He said, “I will try my best, although there may not be any results.”

“Wait!” Harry was obviously still confused, “I don’t understand, why would Slytherin’s daughter collect Horcruxes? Did she join forces with Voldemort?”

Scott turned his head to look at him and answered, “No, she and Voldemort are enemies, and she needs to sacrifice Voldemort’s complete soul to fully revive.”

He roughly described the oath that Medea signed with Ravenclaw, and at the same time glanced at the portraits on the wall with the corner of his eyes.

“Is there such a thing?” Harry, who heard this for the first time, was obviously very surprised.

“Thinking of Medea’s actions at Hogwarts…” Scott retracted his gaze, “I suspect that the reason she occupied the Merlin Sir’s Resident and Edinburgh was to complete the Horcrux sacrifice ceremony for the powerful magic source contained in those ancient buildings.”

“My idea is the same as yours, Scott.” Dumbledore affirmed this guess.

Scott didn’t care about Harry who was still in shock, and took the initiative to start arithmetic divination.

As he waved his wand, a series of complex numbers began to roll, change, collide, explode, and calculate in the air.

“Arithmetic Laws!”

“Numbers Appear!”

Scott waved his wand repeatedly, and countless numbers turned into golden light particles, and the final result began to emerge.

Number [1].

After the golden number [1] appeared, it flew towards Scott. Scott stretched out his empty left hand to grab the number, and then closed his eyes slightly.

“Is this Arithmancy?” Harry’s muttering reached Scott’s ears. “This looks much better than reading crystal balls and tea leaves in divination class.”

After a long while, Scott opened his eyes.

“Only one left.” He said to Dumbledore. “Medea got four Horcruxes instead of three.”

Dumbledore was only surprised by this result for a moment, but he quickly reacted.

“No wonder Voldemort was so angry.” He sighed in a low voice, “Just like what Harry saw in his dream, his anger almost destroyed the cliff cave by the sea.” At this time, Harry said excitedly; “Isn’t this a good thing? As long as we find the remaining Horcrux, we will have a chance to completely defeat Voldemort!” “That’s true.” Scott picked up the teacup again, “But who knows if Medea will become a dark lord more terrible than Voldemort.” He was still observing the portrait with his peripheral vision while speaking. This time, he successfully saw the anger that was faintly emerging on Phoenix Black’s face. Harry agreed with Scott’s statement. “You are right, Scott.” He said, “After all, that lady is the daughter of Slytherin.” Obviously, he didn’t have a good impression of everything related to Slytherin College. Dumbledore suddenly asked, “Harry, I want to know how you performed in the dueling class and the dueling club?” Obviously, he has begun to consider Harry’s safety. Harry was a little embarrassed by his question. “Sorry, although my duel results are okay, I don’t know as many spells as Hermione.”

“Don’t worry, duel results have no direct relationship with the number of spells you know.” Dumbledore said with a smile.

Then he asked Harry a few more questions, and then let Scott and Harry leave together.

But Harry didn’t leave obediently.

“Professor, I want to see Sirius.” He asked Dumbledore.

Dumbledore thought about it and agreed. He let Scott do it himself and personally took Harry out of the fireplace.

After they left, Scott was the only one left in the office.

Of course, he didn’t do anything extra, and just got up and left.
