The Wind and the Eagle Wings at Hogwarts — Chapter 381 381. Strange motive for murder

“Dumbledore!”

Carlo’s horrified voice sounded.

“The curse stops immediately!”

His first instinct was to rescue the petrified house elf Tata.

“Lulu will never let you rescue this bad elf!”

Screams rang out, and a house elf familiar to Scott suddenly appeared in front of Tata, blocking Carlo’s curse with his palm.

“All petrified!”

Scott waved the wand with some difficulty.

Although tired, he still seized the opportunity and accurately hit Carlo, who was wearing an invisibility cloak.

After confirming that Carlo was petrified by his spell, Scott finally relaxed, put his hands on his knees, and opened his mouth to gasp for air.

“Are you okay, dear Mr. Trollope?”

Lulu ran to him and raised her head, looking at him worriedly.

“I’m fine…I’m just a little too tired…” Scott spoke breathlessly.

“Do you need any help?” Lulu was anxious, “Let Lulu take you to the hospital!”

“No.”

At this time, Scott finally caught his breath.

He straightened up, waved to Lulu, and turned to look in the direction of the main building of the castle.

Dumbledore, wearing pajamas and a nightcap, was walking quickly over there, and Professor Flitwick, who had also changed into pajamas, was trotting behind him.

“Go take off his invisibility cloak, Lulu.” Scott pointed in the direction of Carlo.

“Okay! Okay!”

Lulu bowed to Scott excitedly, turned around and ran to where Carlo was, waved her hand, and cast a spell to take off Carlo’s invisibility cloak.

“Ah.”

Scott chuckled, walked up to Carlo, and looked at the frightened look in his eyes when his body was stiff.

“Looking at it this way, I am indeed lucky.” Scott said.

Carlo’s eyes burst with intense hatred.

Scott smiled mockingly at him.

“Idiot.” He whispered, “You are dead…”

“Scott!”

At this time, Professor Flitwick had already passed Dumbledore and ran over.

“Are you okay?” He looked up and down at his student.

“I’m fine, Professor.” Scott let him look at him.

“I hope you’re fine!” Professor Flitwick breathed a sigh of relief, “When you left my place just now, your physical strength was almost at its limit!”

Scott smiled pretending to be proud, “Don’t worry, professor, even if my physical strength is at its lowest, it’s not something a guy like Carlo can sneak attack on me.”

Professor Flitwick also laughed, “Of course, I believe you.”

“Sorry, Scott.” Dumbledore came over at this time, “When I noticed the movement here, it was already time for Mr. Carrow to cast the Cruciatus Curse.”

As he spoke, his Phoenix Guardian flew above his head, turning into silvery white smoke and reintegrating into his body.

Scott looked at this scene with some surprise.

Dumbledore smiled and said, “Oh, it seems that you are more interested in my Patronus Charm than hearing my apology from an old man.”

Professor Flitwick also looked up at Dumbledore and praised him, “Albus, your use of the Patronus Charm is better than any wizard I have ever seen.”

“Just a few tricks.”

Dumbledore said something to Professor Flitwick, and then said to Scott: “If you are interested, of course I can teach you, of course, after you can skillfully cast the complete Patronus Charm.”

“Thank you.” Scott thanked him quickly.

Although he has not yet released the complete Patronus Spell, he believes that he is not far away from that day.

“Now, let’s deal with this matter.” Dumbledore looked at Carlo, “Hello, Mr. Carlo, long time no see.”

At this moment, Carlo’s eyes were filled with fear.

“This is not the first time you have done this, Mr. Carlo!” Professor Flitwick said.

He was clearly angry.

“If I remember correctly, you attacked Scott on the bridge with some Slytherins, and later attacked him in the Forbidden Forest with Yaxley! You have been expelled from Hogwarts, and I was lucky enough to escape from prison, but I didn’t expect that I would dare to do this!”

“I’m also curious about Mr. Carrow’s motive for doing this,” Dumbledore said.

“It won’t be Scott’s problem anyway!” Professor Flitwick subconsciously defended his student.

“Of course, but we’d better ask.” Dumbledore looked at Scott, “What do you think, Scott.”

“I’m also a little curious about this question.” Scott said, “Last time Carlo said that he attacked me because his cousin Caitlin Rolle hated me. Maybe it’s the same reason this time.”

“Then let’s hear what he has to say.”

Dumbledore reached out and patted Carlo’s shoulder twice.

With the first blow, he lifted the petrification spell cast by Carlo.

The second time, before Carlo could react, his body from the neck down became stiff again.

“Mr. Carrow, you need to answer my question.” Dumbledore said to him, “Tell me, why did you do this?”

Carlo kept his head down, not looking at Dumbledore.

He closed his mouth tightly and said nothing.

“It seems he doesn’t want to answer your question.” Scott looked at Carlo.

Hearing his voice, Carlo quickly raised his head and spit out red light from his mouth.

Scott, who was well prepared, turned his face sideways and just avoided the attack.

“puff!”

Carroll, with a face full of hatred, spat out several bloody teeth and a bloody button at Scott.

Although the incident happened suddenly, these dirty things did not come into contact with Scott, but hovered in the air.

It was Professor Flitwick who took action.

“Thank you, professor.” Scott hurriedly thanked the professor.

Professor Flitwick waved his hand.

“I didn’t expect you to hate me so much?” Scott looked at Carroll again, “Have I done anything to you?”

Carroll lowered his head and kept silent again.

Scott blinked, took out a bottle of potion as quickly as possible, opened it, pinched Carroll’s chin and gave him a few sips.

Scott looked at Carlo who was becoming drowsy and said, “At this time, I choose to learn from Professor Snape.”

“Oh…” Professor Flitwick was stunned by Scott’s action, “Oh, Scott, what did you feed him?”

Dumbledore said in a helpless tone, “Learn from Severus? It must be the truth serum.”

Professor Flitwick said nervously, “Oh! This is against the rules!”

He looked at Scott and then at Dumbledore.

“Oh, forget it.” He said again, “There is no wizard who follows the rules like Minerva.”

Scott shrugged at him and was ready to ask Carlo.

“Are you sure you want to ask here?” Dumbledore said, “Let’s go to my office.”

As he spoke, a beautiful song that seemed to soothe the soul came from above their heads.

As if the sun was falling from the sky, the phoenix with its wings spread slowly landed with its long tail feathers, bringing light and warmth.

“We can use the power of the phoenix to be lazy and save the trouble of climbing stairs.”

Dumbledore stretched out his hand and let the phoenix rest on his arm, while winking at Scott.

Scott smiled, walked over and skillfully grabbed one of the phoenix’s tail feathers.

The other tail feathers of the phoenix stretched out and took the initiative to wrap around the wrists of Professor Flitwick and Carlo.

“Lulu, this house elf is left to you to take care of.”

Dumbledore said to Lulu, and then let the phoenix take a few people back to the principal’s office.

Scott experienced weightlessness under his feet for a second, and then he was back on the ground again in the next second.

Blinking and adapting to the bright light in the principal’s office, he thanked the phoenix and looked at Carlo, whose limbs were stiff and his head was drooping.

“Tell me, Elijah Carlo, why did you attack me?” he asked directly.

“Because Caitlin wants you to die.” Carlo, who looked groggy, answered.

“Why?” Professor Flitwick asked in disbelief.

Carlo said: “Caitlin wants to avenge the death of Jasmine Travers.”

“What kind of revenge is this!” Professor Flitwick said angrily, “This is completely implicating the innocent! Miss Travers’ death has nothing to do with Scott!”

Carlo said: “Who knows, I don’t care about this. I don’t care what reason Caitlin has to avenge Trollope, I just know that she wants Trollope to die. I want to fulfill her wish, which is proof that I love her.”

“Absurd! This is extremely absurd!” Professor Flitwick said loudly.

Scott asked again, “How did you sneak into Hogwarts? Who told you that I would be in poor condition tonight because of duel training?”

Carlo answered his questions honestly.

“I came in through the secret passage. Our family has been studying at Hogwarts for generations, so of course we know a secret passage.”

“Although the exit of the secret passage was blocked, I destroyed the stone blocking the exit with the help of Tata.”

“Strilner told me about your story.”

“Strilner?” Scott said in surprise, “I didn’t expect that he was still thinking about Hogwarts after he graduated.”

“He has connections with many Slytherin students. He said that he has a channel to get the information he wants to know about the school.” Carlo said, “I don’t know what the specific channel is.”

Scott was not satisfied with this answer.

But he was dissatisfied and there was nothing he could do. Carlo obviously didn’t know about Strillner.

After thinking about it, he asked Carlo again, “You said you attacked me because of Caitlin Rowe? In other words, she also knew about your actions today? Where is she?”

“Caitlin doesn’t know.” Carlo replied, “Caitlin is dead.”

“Dead? I remember it was a little girl!” Professor Flitwick was obviously very surprised, “How did she die?”

“It was me, I killed her.” Carlo said.

Due to the effect of the drug, he spoke the terrifying words in a flat voice.

“What?” Professor Flitwick’s voice became sharp.

“What’s going on?”

Scott did not pretend to be surprised, but asked the question calmly.

“Because she doesn’t love me.”

Carlo spoke slowly.

“Even though I attacked Trollope for her, was expelled from Hogwarts, and was imprisoned by the Ministry of Magic for several months, even though I went to study with her in the distant Durmstrang.”
