The Wind and the Eagle Wings at Hogwarts — Chapter 70 070. Professor Dumbledore's small classroom

“Puppets essentially still belong to the first type I classify, because they can only perform repetitive mechanical actions after leaving my control.”

Scott continued.

“It’s just that compared to this sparrow, the puppet’s actions have one more basis for judgment, and that is time.”

His eyes looked at the dancing puppets again.

“In my imagination, ‘works’ that have a certain ability to act independently belong to the second type. This kind of transformation ‘work’ does not need to be controlled by a wizard at all times, and its practicality will be greatly improved.”

He said with some distress: “It’s a pity that I haven’t found the trick in this area.”

Having said this, he looked at Dumbledore, waiting for his comment.

Dumbledore smiled and nodded, “You said it very well, Scott.”

He pointed to the sparrow that Fred held in his hand.

“I can see that you have a very solid grasp of the basics of the subject of Transfiguration.”

“This is what I have been doing.” Scott was not modest. “I think these basic knowledge are very important, and it is related to how far I can go in the future.”

Dumbledore looked at him with admiration, “You have the right idea. To be honest, I have never seen a little wizard like you, because other children are always eager to pursue spells that seem more powerful.”

He winked at the three boys, “But I want to tell you. The power of wizards does not only depend on the spells they master, and the greatness of wizards does not only rely on powerful magic.”

All three of Scott nodded.

Dumbledore didn’t seem to care if they understood him, and he turned to Transfiguration.

“Transfiguration is also my best magic. When your Professor McGonagall was in school, I was her transfiguration professor.” He spoke in a recalling tone, and sighed.

“Unfortunately, since I became the principal of this school, I have become busier and busier, and I no longer have time to teach the students.”

Scott watched him pick up the cup and take a sip of the overly sweet black tea, then smacked his lips.

“I don’t know if I’m proficient in taking classes. Let me think about it… where should I start?”

Scott waited quietly for him to “learn”, but he picked up a small biscuit, smeared a lot of sweet jam, stuffed it into his mouth, and then chewed while distracted.

“…”

Scott felt some discomfort in his throat, and quickly picked up his unadded black tea and took a sip.

It wasn’t until the spoon in George’s hand accidentally hit the plate and made a crisp sound that Dumbledore suddenly came back to his senses.

“Where were we talking about?”

He acted like a real old fool.

George and Fred looked at each other. They didn’t pay attention at all.

Scott put down the tea cup in his hand, “Transfiguration of dead objects, a method of giving the ‘work’ of transfiguration the ability to act autonomously, Professor.”

“Oh yes!”

Dumbledore nodded matter-of-factly.

He looked at Scott, “Have you asked Professor McGonagall this question? Scott.”

“No.” Scott shook his head, “That should belong to the advanced knowledge of transfiguration. I was not urgent about this matter before.”

He smiled and said, “I always feel that if I keep going at my own pace, I will do it one day.”

“You’re right.” Dumbledore nodded again.

Then he asked, “Have you changed your mind now?”

“I think……”

Scott looked at the two cheerful puppets again. They seemed to be tired of dancing now and were sitting on the ground to rest.

“After seeing the professor’s magic, I seem to understand something, but I still lack some inspiration.” He said softly, almost whispering, “There is something I didn’t expect.”

At this time, Dumbledore tapped the rim of the cup with a spoon, bringing Scott back to his senses.

“You are indeed a Transfiguration genius, Scott.”

His expression was slightly serious.

“I want to remind you.” His tone was very soft, “No matter what magic you use, you need to pay some price.”

“Price?” Scott heard this for the first time.

Even the Weasley twins stopped eating their snacks.

Dumbledore returned to his relaxed and cheerful demeanor.

He smiled and said: “Yes, whether it is reciting a spell, gesturing with a wand, consuming magic power, or even strengthening faith, this is the price of using magic.”

After saying that, he and Scott looked at each other.

Scott mused.

Next, he did not ask any more questions, but was completely immersed in thinking.

Dumbledore talked about some happy things with the twins again, and he was made to laugh by the two naughty boys from time to time.

When Scott came back to his senses and listened for a while, he found that George and Fred had unknowingly told all the pranks they had done.

The happy tea time ended quickly, at least for the twins.

Dumbledore never asked them about the details of what happened in the past two days, and talked to them in a very cordial and humorous manner.

Coupled with delicious food and drinks, what could be happier?

When they left, Dumbledore said to Scott: “I don’t think I should tell you the answer directly. Those talented students do not need to be taught deliberately. Their own thinking is often more useful.”

Although he was praised as a genius, Scott didn’t know whether he should be happy or not.

“But I can give you a hint.” Dumbledore said again.

Scott immediately looked at him with expectant eyes.

“Remember, magic is the power of belief.”

Dumbledore said mysteriously.

Scott was touched and stood up and bowed to Dumbledore.

“Thank you for your teaching, Professor Dumbledore.”

He said respectfully.

Dumbledore smiled happily.

When Scott and the other two completely left the principal’s office and returned to the third floor, George and Fred immediately linked their arms and happily danced a crooked tap dance.

They also sang a tuneless song one after another.

“Oh! We became…”

“Having afternoon tea with Dumbledore…”

“The Weasley brothers…”

“We share delicious food…”

“Talking and laughing…”

“From now on…”

“Mom can’t…”

“Criticize us casually…”

Scott looked at their proud look and couldn’t help but pour a basin of cold water on them.

He said slowly, “I remember that you just told me about all the pranks you did at school.”

The twins’ singing and dancing stopped immediately.

“Oh!”

“Oh!”

They looked at each other for a moment, suddenly became extremely frustrated, and then angrily blamed each other.

“It’s all your fault!”

“It’s your fault!”

“You said more!”

“You said it first!”

Scott shook his head, waved at the two people who were arguing, and turned away.

“Scott!”

“Don’t go!”

The two immediately chased after him, each putting a hand on Scott’s shoulders and crying loudly.

“Help us think of a solution! Dumbledore knows too much! We have lost our sense of mystery with him!”

“If Dumbledore tells Professor McGonagall, we’re done!”

Scott was indifferent and even wanted to laugh.

“It seems that you need to completely update your pranks.” He said in an encouraging tone, “Come on, guys, I believe in you!”
